CHORNAPPED
The version of WOZZECK that we did in Lille was a specially produced and arranged reduction of the original score. It required a much smaller orchestra and .. (to many of the soloists dismay) ... the soloist were required take over the chorus parts! This lead to some interesting theories on whether or not Berg would actually have agreed to such a reduction of his score! Would chorus singers protest?
