Wozzeck is a psycho-drama. By the time Willy gets done with it ... it has increased in it's intensity by X fold! Marilyn Schmiege, our Marie, was groped, grabbed, ripped, raped, mauled and murdered. I somehow imagined that sooner or later dealing with such intensive material must take it's toll. ( This characterization of Marilyn Schmiege does not really do her justice. She has already forgiven me for that )
